Description: The Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (KERI) is a non-profit government-funded research institute in Republic of Korea (South Korea). Established in 1976, KERI is a non-profit government-funded research organization that has been at the forefront of technological excellence. KERI has been contributing to research on electrotechnology and testing of power apparatus as a Korean government-sponsored institute. Main office is in Changwon, Republic of Korea and two branches are in Ansan and Uiwang, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. For last 30 years, accumulated expertise, dedicated facilities and innovative instruments have achieved impressive results in industry and in power business.

Description: Major Research Initiatives:

• Application and performance test of renewable energy systems
• Energy storage systems (ESS) applications to distribution systems and customers
• Design, control and operation of Grid-connected/Islanded MicroGrid
• Design and analysis of smart distribution systems including DC distribution

The laboratory is in operation since 2005 and currently run by 22 employees.
