The European Liaison on Electricity Committed Towards long-term Research Activities for Smart Grids Integrated Research Programme on Smart Grids (ELECTRA) brings together the partners of the EERA Joint Programme on Smart Grids (JP SG) to reinforce and accelerate Europe´s medium to long term research cooperation in this area and to drive a closer integration of the research programmes of the participating organisations and of the related national programmes. Powerful European Research Infrastructure is necessary to reach consensus on harmonized solutions that allow collaboration on the technical level and thereby accelerate the development and implementation of smart grids. ELECTRA aims at fostering the coordination and collaboration among the research infrastructures of the IRP participants.

ELECTRA has received funding from the European Union´s Seventh Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No.: 609687.
